Rebecca Krumel Sanchez
Rebecca Krumel Sanchez received an M.F.A. in Dance from Florida State University in
2016 and B.A. in Dance and English from the University of South Carolina in 2012.
She has taught and choreographed in dance schools across the country. From
2016-2021 she joined Artistry Dance Alliance in Tallahassee as Ballet Director and
continued to as adjunct faculty at FSU School of Dance. In 2021 she moved to Miami
where she was fortunate delve deeper into her other passion, the GYROTONIC®
Movement Method, as trainer at Gyrotonic® Coral Gables. From 2022-2024 she
joined New World School of the Arts high school modern dance faculty.

Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, her early training was under Karen Alwin,
where she performed in a pre-professional ballet and jazz company and competed in
numerous competitions including the Youth America Grand Prix. She spent summers
studying on scholarship at prestigious ballet and dance companies. After high school
she danced a trainee at the Boston Ballet and company member of Columbia City
Ballet in South Carolina.

Her performing experience includes classical ballets, Balanchine ballets, works by
modern dance greats and contemporary artists. She has enjoyed leading worship
dance ensembles in local churches, and performing with Ircamar Garcia Rodriguez
Dance Company in Tallahassee.

Her choreography has been presented by University of SC Dance Department, FSU
School of Dance, ACDA Southeastern Conference, American Dance Festival, USF
Dance Festival, South Georgia Center for the Arts, North Florida PBS with Camerata
South Orchestra, New World School of the Arts and Miami Dade College.
